Summer

School is over. I am beyond thrilled.

I think that since my mom died, I am not as much fun anymore. I also think I don't have the friends around here that keep my brain as sharp as some other friends in different places.

Also, I am tired. And can't wait for my massage tomorrow.

Summer = Brick Fair!

And I just read this book at Barnes and Noble -- you might not identify much with the first half, but the second half (after her mother's death) is spot on. It takes a while to grieve sometimes. We don't honor that much in our society.

I'm sorry about your mom.
And I hope your massage helped.

When my grandmother died, my mom lost her spark for a while. It comes back, and those who love will understand. So sorry you're hurting.

My mother's death left me exhausted beyond anything I had ever felt--nothing like the baby/toddler/never a full-night's sleep days. It's a total mental and physical thing.

It does pass though, but SC is right, we don't always recognize and honor what we go through when we lose a parent.
