Towels

How exactly, does one lose not one, but two very large beach towels?
I don't know but apparently we have managed this in my house. And I have discovered it right before a short little jaunt to the beach.
Luckily, I have some older ones to fill in the gap.....

Packing for a short trip to the beach is SO MUCH easier now that everyone can pack for themselves. I supply list, they do packing. With supervision, otherwise things get a little interesting.

“The cure for anything is salt water - sweat, tears, or the sea.”
--Isak Dinesen
"One learns first of all in beach living the art of shedding; how little one can get along with, not how much."
- Anne Morrow Lindbergh

What needs curing for you? And what do you want to shed?

was just at the beach with the dogs yesterday. There's a place they're allowed & at low tide, it's miles of empty sand & tidal pools of various depths to run through & wade through. Occasionally we mistime the tides and end up swimming more than we planned :-) I love living near the coast; every time I consider moving away - even near lakes, my heart sinks a bit. Love, love the sea.

Those are great quotes you listed. I'll be stealing them :-)

In our house we find that things go missing and then turn up in the strangest places. Beach towels wind up in the dog house and baseball gloves are retrieved from inside a picnic cooler. Irritating and inexplicable. Who usually locates these errant items? Me. Who loses them? Everyone else.

What have I lost at the moment? Ummm ... not sure but have found my laugh button around my daughter. We have shared several belly laughs this evening. Going to bed happy tonight :-)

I love Anne's "Gift from the Sea." It is so TRUE. I've found a good many things of late, but not lost much.
