The blogging world

I'm not a big fish in the blogging world. Heck, I'm not even a minnow, and I like it that way. But I do have several blogs I read faithfully, and the thing is, many of them are going through rough times. Divorce, child issues, just life in general. One has seemingly stopped blogging, which makes me sad, as her perspective and voice were different than many others out there. Some are raising the second round of kids AND dealing with health issues. I didn't read blogs for a few days and came on to find one of my favorite bloggers is getting a divorce. Hopefully all will work out for her and her family. But I don't really "know" her details.
I suffer from incurable nosey-ness. But unless I know the person in real life, so to speak, I try not to ask for too many details. Just because a person chooses to blog doesn't mean they have to blog about their whole lives, and it doesn't give me the right to pry.

I like blogs that are *real*, that share the good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful. I enjoy blogs that make me think, and ones that make me laugh. I don't enjoy reading blogs that are entirely focused on one thing. I like variety :)
What makes a blog read-able for you? What makes you return?

Gak. Now I'm curious! Nothing exciting is happening on the blogs I read. Dogs getting trained, one person got bit by a foster dog, gardens being planted, kids learning, authors writing, knitters knitting. Hmmm. Maybe I'm reading the wrong blogs LOL

It's hard to pinpoint what keeps me coming back. Some people are just interesting & keep me coming back. :-)

Almost all my blogs are adoption/kid related.. I like it when people are real as well, and for me, sometimes it hard to be as real as I'd like to be with reading my blog. I do throw in a few hidden meanings here and there and if the offender gets offended, so be it. PRaying for your visit home xoxoxo

Well, some of the blogs are listed over there -->
And some are ones I don't list.

And um, ouch, on the foster dog bite.

Cristy - I find 99% of the ones I read are moms writing. I do edit more here than, well, other places.
The visit is going well so far. She's weaker but still Mom :)

There are plenty of things I cannot blog about, or at least not in detail (like my mother's current health status, or struggles with a kid).
I love humorous stories but I don't think I tell them very well. I mostly try to not be boring! And like you, I prefer blogs to be "real."
